Jakarta EE 9.1

  • Scott: Remove PortableRemoteObject.narrow calls or make them optional 9.1
  • Scott: Signature tests for javax.rmi package
  • May be multiple compatible implementations available on the release date
    • OpenLiberty, WildFly, TomEE, Payara, in addition to GlassFish
  • TCK and Compatible implementations should be finalized by April 23rd
    • In order to be listed on the ballot
    • (GlassFish must be done by the 23rd)
    • TCKs need to be RC by Friday April 16.
      • Start CQ for sigtest now out of band.
  • Ballot for release review start: April 30th
  • Planned release date: May 14th
  • Marketing release date: May 25th

  • Alternative proposals will be put forward to the CN4J Alliance for a recommendation
  • Technical decision will be made by the platform project
